Best drinks, great cozy bar, wonderful bar menu, happy hour, music on Wednesdays and the weekends, including Friday night. We are lucky enough to live close. Wonderful outdoor venue during warm weather. Great staff, very professional yet warm and friendly. We enjoy sitting near the bar in comfy couches or chairs. Mostly we order of the bar menu, which changes at 6 PM
Excellent place for a romantic dinner, prices are very reasonable, service great. Would recommend to anyone.
Nice atmosphere, good quality ingredients , but my special NY steak while tender lacked flavor as did the asparagus and roasted fingerling potatos. My husbands rack of ribs were just so so. The BBQ sauce tasted like a catchup base with little else. Prices were higher than it was worth. My recommendation is to skip it.
One of best restaurants in area. Outstanding food and drinks. Best live music from legendary Jimmy Stadler.
They're lucky they're getting one star simply because it won't let me give less. From the beginning, I call 24 hours in advance to book a wedding party of 20 in their private room (having a backup plan in case it was unavailable on such short notice). She told me they had a 5pm and 8pm available. Our wedding was at 430 so no way we're making 5pm, so I booked the 8pm. We found out later they close at 9pm that evening. Why they'd book a party of 20 that close to closing is beyond me. We arrive that evening and the place is like a ghost town, customers are scarce. The host seats us promptly and we end up having to move 2 more tables up because I miscounted my guests. The waiter and waitress huff and puff about it and pull over the tables slamming them together. Okay. Sorry to inconvenience you, this was my fault. It'll be better in a few. No. The waitress, after arguing with the waiter in their not-so-whispering voices, walks up to our table and says, "alright, I guess I'm serving you tonight, what can I get you to drink?" With an attitude so thick I could've slapped her. We eventually get all the waters poured that they automatically pour when seated and then all the drinks come out (some alcoholic some not). My husband's coke was refilled once and sat empty for the remainder of the time there because she wouldn't pay attention to us. Food comes out. Plating is pretty, but mine is just okay and my husband's is disgusting because of the sauce on it and the sauce on mine is way too bitter (I had steak frites and he had the tenderloin). My grandmother's chicken fried steak was huge, but half hollow. There was only a teeny tiny steak inside the breading and the rest was HOLLOW. Everyone else said their food was messed up in some way or the sauces were awful. The only things that were good was the crabcakes, fries and the calamari, but the sauce under the crabcakes is disgusting. The entire time we're being served, not one waiter/waitress smiles at us or acts the least bit friendly. There are daily specials on the menu that require the server to announce and nothing was said and when asked, we were a burden again. Time for tickets: She was real snarky in commenting once we asked for our tickets, "well I hope y'all are aware that there's going to be a grat". No kidding, we're all in the service industry, we expected it even though it was definitely not deserved. It takes almost 30 minutes for her to get our tickets together and once she does, she's back at the POS system complaining to one of the other servers, "I can't believe we've got to stay this late for some damn people who won't leave". Okay, bet. Enjoy your $4 tip on an $80 bill. She could've banked off of us because the majority are bartenders, bar owners, or in the bar business. I wouldn't have left anything had I not been concerned of the money karma. The best thing I had at this restaurant was their french fries and crab cakes. They're amazing, everything else is way over priced for the mediocrity of it and definitely not worth enduring the hateful staff. Ownership needs to get a handle on them or they'll be missing out on a lot of good money. We definitely will never return.
The most hateful waitstaff EVER!
